- 100 gms Paneer

- 2 Green Chillies,finely chopped

- 4 Cardamoms
- 15 Garlic pods
- 1/2 inch Ginger
- 1 bunch Curry leaves
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 pinch hing
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp Garam masala powder
- as per taste Salt
- 2 tsp Coriander leaves
- 2 tbsp Mint leaves
- as required Water (2:1 ratio, water:rice)
- To make Crispy Onion:
- 1 Large onion,finely chopped
- 15 Cashew nuts
- 15 raisins
- 1/2 tbsp Ghee
Steps to make to make Paneer peas biriyani
- Rinse the rice with water and let it soak for 20 minutes.
Combine garlic, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom in a mixer jar and blend to a smooth paste.
Cut the paneer into small cubes. - In a bowl add yogurt, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, hing and paneer and stir well and keep aside for 20 minutes.
- In a heavy pot, heat the ghee and oil. Then add the biryani leaves, curry leaves, onions and green chilies and saute until the onion turns white.
- Add the tomatoes and saute until the onions are well combined.
Then add the masala paste that prepared and stir well until the raw smell goes. - Add green peas and paneer mixture and mix well. Keep the stove in medium flame for 10 minutes and stir well until the raw smell goes.
- Then add the coriander leaves, mint leaves, water and mix well.
When the water starts to boil, add the soaked rice and stir well. - Cover the pot and keep the stove in medium flame. Check-in certain interval whether the rice is cooked.
- In another pan, pour the ghee and then add cashews, raisins and saute until golden.
Once it is fried, remove from pan. Now add the chopped onion to the same pan and fry until golden brown. - When the biryani is ready, remove from the stove and sprinkle with fried cashews, raisins and onions.
